What's so appealing to me about this photo is that these kids live in a housing area that now sits on the site of the former Marine combat base in Dong Ha. Only one hangar (now used as a carpentry shop) remains of the base, and most people would not recognize that as a vestige of our presence. The whole area is now a peaceful suburb.
