Khe Sanh
The first picture was taken by Earl Clark, Alpha Company 1st Battalion 26th Marines during the siege of Khe Sanh in 1968. He was standing near the ammo dump. The new scars of bomb craters on the hills to the north of the base can be seen.
The second photograph was taken in May 98 by Garry Adams while he was looking around the old base area. He ended up standing in nearly the same spot as Clark had.
Garry writes, "..it's some coincidence that people from opposite sides of the world take photo's of the same place 30 years apart and then link them through the Internet..."
